Vineland, N.J. Oct 23, 2001 – Allied Insurance Services (AIS) Vice President, Michael J. Roche, received the 2001 Howard A. Kucher Board Member of the Year Award from the Independent Insurance Agents of New Jersey (IIANJ).  The award is given annually to a member of the IIANJ board of directors who exhibits extraordinary effort in support of the organization.  Roche received the award for his work as the chair of the Cooperative Advertising Marketing Program (CAMP), a program to communicate to the public that independent insurance agents are an excellent source of value and service for insurance coverage throughout New Jersey. 

“Michael has been the driving force behind CAMP since the day he assumed the role as chair of the committee,” said Gary S. Newborn, AAI, president of the IIANJ.  “The entire organization thanks him for his dedication and hard work.”

Roche has been with AIS for 21 years where he is in charge of commercial insurance services.  He is an Accredited Advisor of Insurance and has been a member of

the IIANG board of directors for 8 years.  “It’s an honor to be recognized by the IIANJ,” said Roche, “CAMP was more successful than we ever expected in creating awareness about the benefits of working with independent insurance agents.  This is really a tribute to all those who helped make it happen.”
